Fees

I can provide a superbill that you may use to collect out-of-network benefits from your insurance, which are usually about 60% of their allowable fee once you meet your deductible. For example, The University of Missouri Custom Network Plan says they will pay about $54 per session once the deductible is met. 

Please note you cannot submit to Medicare. If you agree to work with me, Medicare requires you to take responsibility for the full fee. 

I do still accept Aetna insurance but will stop taking it at some point in 2024. 

In 2023, after much thought, I decided to stop taking insurance. I took insurance for years despite the hassles because it allowed me to see people from diverse economic circumstances. I am no longer willing to deal with insurance companies. I do provide a limited number of sliding scale spots. 

One advantage for those who can afford not to use insurance, is increased privacy and no battle to justify services. Insurance companies will not have access to your mental health records without your consent.
